CARD MAKING TIPS
Lavender Heart CardSend your loved ones a scented sentiment with this lavender card, designed with a beautiful heart shaped 'frame' made from lavender.
Materials:
Hero Arts Stamp - Lavender Square E1024Dye Ink Pad - Purple150 mm x 210 mm blue marbled card100mm x 145mm pale pink card95mm x 140mm cream cardDried lavender stems (Click Here for instructions on drying)Purple and Green Coloring pencilsClear-drying glue0.9mm galvanized tie wireGreen threadMetal rulerPencilCraft Knife (optional)Cylindrical shape (approx. 12cm in diameter)
Preparation:
Measure 105mm along each long side of the blue card. Lightly draw a line in pencil, joining the two measurements and gently score along this line using the metal ruler and craft knife (or similar object). Fold the card widthways along this scored line.
Construction:
Centre the pink card on the front of the blue card and glue it in place. Adhere the cream card to the pink card in the same manner. When the glued layers have dried, stamp the lavender square onto the centre of the cream card. Allow the ink to dry before coloring the stamped image with purple and green pencils.

Loop the galvanized wire loosely around the cylindrical shape several times. Bend the circle of wire so that it forms the rough shape of a heart. Gently bend several stems of lavender to fit the heart shape and tie it to the wire frame with small lengths of green thread. If required, glue the ends of the lavender heart onto the card, so that it frames the stamped image.
